Nominering till ISRMs utmärkelser

ISRM utlyser nomineringar till flera utmärkelser. Några utlyses årligen, andra vartannat eller vart fjäde år. Medlemmar i Svenska föreningen för bergmekanik- och ingenjörsgeologi & ISRM har möjlighet att nominera personer till  några av utmärkelserna som ISRM tilldelar. På detta sätt uppmärksammas personer och organisationer som bidragit till framsteg och utveckling inom områdena bergmekanik och bergteknik.

Nomineringskategorier:

• Müller Award. The award is made once every four years at the ISRM Congress, in recognition of distinguished contributions to the profession of rock mechanics and rock engineering. Candidates for the award shall be nominated by the National Groups of the ISRM. Each National Group may propose one candidate, with no restrictions on who may be nominated.
• Rocha Medal Award. Nomination shall be by the nominee, or by the nominee’s National Group, or by some other person or organization acquainted with the nominee’s work
• ISRM Young Rock Engineer Award. Nominations for the award shall be by the nominee’s National Group, or by some other person or organization acquainted with the nominee’s work.
• The ISRM Science and Technology Awards have two categories:
  – Science Achievement Award: Nominations shall be by the chairs of the National Groups who wish to nominate an ISRM individual or corporate member.
  – Technological Innovation Award: Nominations shall be by the chairs of the National Groups who wish to nominate an ISRM corporate members
• John Hudson Rock Engineering Award. Nominations shall be by the chairs of the National Groups who wish to nominate a Corporate member. ISRM Nominations for the award shall be by the chairs of the ISRM National Groups.
• ISRM Franklin Lecture. The selection of the ISRM member to give the ISRM Franklin Lecture will be made by the ISRM Board.
• ISRM Fellows. The selection of ISRM Fellows will be made on a two-yearly basis by the ISRM Board.
• ISRM Best Performing National Group Award. Nominations shall be by the chairs of the ISRM National Groups who wish to nominate themselves for the award.
• ISRM Outstanding Commission Award. Nominations shall be by the chairs of the ISRM Commissions who wish to nominate themselves for the award.

– Kansliet informerar medlemmarna om aktuell nomineringsperiod, instruktioner och deadline. 

– Alla nomineringar skickas till kansliet för godkännande och vidare utskick till ISRM.
